1. Overview
Gem Chase ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle data when you use the Gem Chase mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect and How We Use It
We prioritize data minimization. We do not require you to create an account or provide personal identifiers like your name or phone number. However, to provide subscription services, we collect limited data:
• Purchase and Subscription Data: We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions. When you subscribe, RevenueCat collects a unique, anonymous "App User ID" and your purchase history (receipt data). This allows us to verify your "Pro" status and provide access to premium features across your devices.
• Technical & Usage Data: We collect anonymous technical information, such as your device model, and operating system version to ensure the App performs correctly.
• We collect your email address when you use the app. It is stored on your device and shared with RevenueCat to link your subscription to your account. If you contact us for support, your email is used to respond to your inquiry.
• We store your watchlist of saved cards locally on your device to provide app functionality. This data is not transmitted to our servers.
• We assign a unique User ID to your account to maintain your subscription status and app preferences. This ID is shared with RevenueCat.
3. Payment Processing
All financial transactions are handled exclusively by the Apple App Store. Gem Chase does not see, collect, or store your credit card numbers, billing addresses, or bank information. Your payments are subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
We share limited, anonymous data with the following service providers to keep the app running:
• RevenueCat: Used to process and validate subscriptions. You can view their privacy policy at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.
• Market Data Providers: The App displays market data from third-party sources (e.g., Market Movers). These providers do not receive any of your personal data from us.
5. Data Retention and Security
Since we do not collect personal identities, we do not store "profiles." Subscription data is retained by RevenueCat as long as your subscription is active. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect the anonymous data we do process.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location (such as the EU under GDPR or California under CCPA), you may have the right to access or delete data held about you. Because we use anonymous identifiers, we may require your RevenueCat App User ID (found in the App settings) to process these requests.
7. Third-Party Links
The App contains links to external platforms like eBay or PSA. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy within the App and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top.
